A traditional caramelized ginger chicken dish. That's delicious and comforting!
coco rico soda (or coconut water)
cut the chicken into bite size pieces, chop the shallot, mince garlic and slice the ginger.
Marinate the chicken with the garlic, shallot, ginger and fish sauce. Then caramelize the sugar!
Caramelizing the sugar can be tricky, take it off the heat once it gets to a dark caramel color and add chicken immediately!
Garnish with optional additional sliced garlic and green onions! Serve it over rice with a side of refreshing cucumber!
