Equipment

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup of water to the rice cooker pot (For larger rice cookers, add more water as needed).
  • Place the eggs straight from the fridge in the inner rice cooker pot.
  • Close the lid and press the cook button.
  • Set a timer based on your preferred egg doneness.
    12-13 minutes – Runny yolk
    14-16 minutes – Soft-cooked yolk
19-20 minutes – Fully cooked yolk
Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the eggs and the type of rice cooker used.
  • Once done, transfer the eggs to an ice bath or run them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Turn off your rice cooker and unplug to prevent the water from further cooking and evaporating.

Notes

Nutritional facts provided are estimates and may not be entirely accurate.
Warning: Never microwave a hard-boiled egg! The heat creates pressure inside the egg, which can cause it to explode in the microwave—or even in your mouth, which is extremely dangerous. This can happen even if the egg is cut in half prior to microwaving!
