This homemade mango sorbet is healthy and delicious and using an ice cream maker churns the fresh mangoes to a perfectly creamy and smooth dessert. There's nothing better on a hot summer day than this refreshingly cool treat. It's made with only 3 ingredients, with zero refined sugar and it's bursting with bright mango flavor!

It’s mango season and a great way to enjoy this sweet, juicy and delicious fruit is to make sorbet, naturally dairy-free and free of refined sugar! This recipe is easy and can be made in the ice cream maker, or if you don't have one, just put it directly into the freezer! I highly suggest using an ice cream maker as this guarantees a soft and creamy texture without all those ice crystals. With healthy and natural ingredients, it’s a favorite among our family for dessert.

Ingredients
Mangos - They’re great for making sorbets because they're fibrous, creating a rich and creamy texture. Make sure to use ripe mangoes to get maximum mango sweetness.
Lime Juice - Added for a pinch of tartness.
Honey - A healthier replacement for the simple sugar syrup used in regular sorbets. Adjust the honey to taste if you like it sweeter, however, don’t add too much as the honey taste can be overpowering.
Instructions
1). Prep the ingredients. Cut the mangos and squeeze the lime juice.
2). Add all ingredients to a blender.
3). Blend well until smooth and pureed, about 30 seconds to a minute.
4). Add pureed mangoes into the ice cream machine and set on sorbet setting according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Pro Tips
- To store the sorbet, freeze your container beforehand. This helps prevent the sorbet from melting too quickly when being transferred into the container. Scoop the sorbet into the container and use plastic wrap to seal out any air pockets over the sorbet. Cover with a lid and freeze.
- If the frozen sorbet is too hard to scoop out, simply put the container in the fridge to let it melt a bit.
- To make sorbet without an ice cream maker, pour the pureed mangoes into an airtight container, use plastic wrap to seal out any air pockets over the sorbet and freeze for at least 4 hours.
