Ingredients
Butter - unsalted butter, softened
Kosher salt - can be adjusted to taste
Garlic - Use fresh minced garlic cloves for that bold and spicy flavor. The natural oils and flavor of the fresh garlic is released into the butter and creates a more complex taste.
Parsley - dried for convenience, may use fresh if preferred. I like to use dried parsley as it keeps in the fridge longer.
How to Make Garlic Butter
In a medium bowl, add the softened butter, salt, fresh garlic, and dried parsley.
Mix well until ingredients are combined and the butter is smooth.
Taste and adjust with additional salt and garlic as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Unsalted butter is preferred as it’s less salty and you can control the amount of salt to add into the butter.
Garlic powder is used for convenience (when you don’t feel like mincing fresh garlic) and has a better shelf life. However, I highly recommending using fresh garlic, it taste much better!
If an easy and quick garlic butter spread, use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. I do not recommend it, as it will not have the same punch as fresh garlic.
Add ½ cup of softened unsalted butter, with 2 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon dried parsley and ¼ teaspoon kosher salt. Mix and combine well with a spoon, add more garlic powder to taste.
