My son loves roasted broccoli and air frying the florets is the easiest way to cook them in just minutes with the same great taste. I’ve added some parmesan and panko for a cheesy crunch that’s just YUM.

If you’ve got an air fryer, this roasted broccoli recipe is a must try!

    Ingredients

Image of ingredients, grated parmesan, broccoli florets, salt, oil in a bowl and panko crumbs.

Broccoli – Use broccoli florets, about 4 cups

Parmesan – I use fresh grated parmesan for a salty and nutty taste.

Panko crumbs – Gives a nice coat to the broccoli for that extra crisp factor.

Oil – To help give the florets nice crispy edges.

    1. Preheat the air fry for 5 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Cut the broccoli head into florets (or use prepackaged broccoli florets).
    3. Rinse and dry well. Make sure to dry for the best flavor. When wet, the florets will steam.
    4. Add olive oil, parmesan, panko crumbs, and salt (optional) to the broccoli and mix well.
    5. Add broccoli to the air fryer basket. Air fry for about 11 to 12  minutes, shake halfway through. Make sure to check the broccoli at 10 minutes in, it’s easy to overcook them!

    Tips

    • Clean your air fryer basket prior to cooking to prevent excess smoking.
    •  It’s okay to stack the broccoli florets in the air fryer basket, they will cook down and shrink in size.
    • Different air fryer models and sizes will vary in cooking time. Smaller baskets may need more time.
    • Experiment with your favorite seasonings – salt and pepper is a simple base. Adding garlic powder or chili peppers for a hint of spice is also a great option!
